Ekadashi vrat is considered one of the auspicious and significant vrat in the Hinduism. This vrat is observed on a large scale by the Hindus. Ekadashi word is driven from the Sanskrit language which means "Eleven". Ekadashi occurs on the 11th day in Hindu Lunar Calendar. There are two types of Ekadashi which is known as Shukla Paksha and Krishna Paksha. Ekadashi fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. According to the scriptures, the devotees observe a strict fast on this day to appease Lord Vishnu.
