Shashthi Shraddha
Shashthi Shraddha is the sixth day of the Sixteen days of Pitru Paksha. Shashthi Shraddha is also known as Chhath Shraddha.
According to the Hindu calendar, Shashthi Shraddha falls on the Chhathi tithi of Krishna Paksha of Bhadrapada month.
As per the North Indian Amavasyant Calendar, Chhath Shradha falls on the sixth day in the month of Ashwin.
This Shradha is very beneficial for those who are facing trouble in their married life. In 2018, the date of Shashthi Shraddha is 30th September on Sunday.
This Shradh is performed for those who died on the Shashthi Tithi as per the Hindu calendar. Deceased may have died in either fortnight i.e. Shukla Paksha or Krishna Paksha.
Tarpan is offered to the deceased and Pind Daan is performed as the process of Shradh.

- After the completion of all the rituals, the food is offered to a Brahmin.
- You have to give the food to crow or cow.
- “Daan” is also done on the Shashthi Shradha for the deceased family member who dies on this tithi.
